Trading

This journal explains how trading works in Cottonwood Valley.

Rules:

1. 1. Sick/Injured horses cannot be traded. Please do all healing images for your horse before trading them off. You may provide proof that this has been done if the horse has not been updated in the tracker yet. Self-trades do not need the horse to be healed, you may trade them injured/sick.

   2. Foals cannot be traded. Foals are not aged up or traded in this journal, that is done in the tracking journal still.

   3. Nursing mares can only be traded with their foals. To trade a nursing mare who's foal is aged 1/3 but is not updated, you can provide proof of the foal's age.

   4. You must provide pregnancy comment and any pregnancy images for pregnant mares. If the mare was claimed pregnant, you must provide her claiming comment. The exception is if you are self trading.

   5. You must own the horse for 2 weeks before trading and provide proof of ownership from the herd you are trading the horse from, unless it is a self trade.

   6. Mares submitted in the Foaling Journal cannot be traded until the foal has been designed and the original owner has claimed the foal.

   7. You may not sell items to another member for feathers.

   8. Names must be CV appropriate - do not name horses after diseases, pharmaceuticals, drugs, unkind names (Moldy, Ugly etc), overly silly names (String Cheese, Dingleberry, Door, Belly Button etc) etc. and cannot be a barn name UNLESS the horse is a unlineaged breed horse. This is up to the discretion of the CV admins - if we feel the name is not appropriate we will not rename the horse and ask you to pick a new one. You can always ask in the discord if the name will be appropriate!

   9.  Special Seasonal Currency Items may ONLY be traded for other special seasonal currency items. Items can ONLY be traded within the same tier! Example: Tier 5 can be Traded for another Tier 5. It CANNOT be traded for a tier 6!

      Special Seasonal Currency items:

      • Tier 4:

        • White clover [ineligible for trade atm, no other SC Item in tie]

      • Tier 5:

        • Red Clover (R. Clover)

        • Plum

        • Sunflower Seeds (SFS)

      • Tier 6:

        • Passion Fruit (PF)

        • Dandelion

        • Seasonal Thundercall (STC)

How it works:

Most trades will be processed using the Trade System.

EXCEPTION: Self Trades will be dealt with HERE.

STEPS: 

1. One member will create the trade.
2. The member who creates the trade fills out the form to put in comments.
3. Once created, both members will edit their half of the trade.
4. When a member is satisfied with their half of the trade, they hit the confirm button.
5. When both members confirm their half of the trade, they must hit the new confirm button that appears (this confirms the trade as a whole).
6. When both members confirm for the second time, it gets sent to the trading queue to be reviewed and processed by the trading admin.

Forms will still be necessary if a horse is involved.
